We’ve got a busy softball week –

Monday, July 21st @ 6:30pm vs. CAP Tech: Byrd #2
Tuesday, July 22nd @ 6:30pm vs. TBD: Dorey Park, Field #2

Please let me know as soon as possible if you are not going to be able to make it Monday Night! I am aware that a lot of us also have Kickball on Tuesday night – Ryan and I have discussed this and believe that we will be okay and should not have to forfeit any of our games. But for those of you who don’t play on the Kickball team, this means it’s even more important than ever that you can be at the game Tuesday night! If you play both, Ryan and/or I will be in touch with you on Monday to make a plan.

UPDATE 6/21 12:55: We received confirmation this morning that our make-up game tomorrow night, that was scheduled for 6:30pm at Dorey, has been forfeited to us.

This week – we have 4 games and we’re playing 2 nights:

Monday Night, May 10th @ 8:10pm vs. Sharks @ Byrd #2
Thursday Night, May 13th @ 6:30pm vs. Foul Balls @ Dorey Park #2

The Thursday Night game is a make-up from last week’s rain out. Please let me know if you have any questions; but we make sure direction to Dorey Park are posted to the website this weekend. At this point, please just let me know if you are not planning on being at Monday’s game.

Our game is scheduled for Monday, April 12th @ 8:10pm. This week’s game will be played at Short Pump. Please plan to arrive by 7:45pm; and if you don’t plan on being able to attend the game Monday, please email both Ryan and Jesse to let us know ASAP.

Jesse will not be at the game this week. In his absence Ryan will manage the team and bring the line-up. Lynsey will manage the substitutions and the stats. Good Luck guys! Thank you to Ryan and Lynsey for their help this week.

Softball Reminder: Practice 4/3; Game 4/5

Just a reminder to those of you who are planning to attend the open practice tomorrow – 10:00am at Hunton. Check the website or give me an email if you need directions.

Also – please remember our 1st Game is Monday Night, 8:10pm @ Pouncy Tract. We will need to go over some league rules, introduce a few new teammates, pass out some jerseys, and this is a new field for us all. Please plan to arrive at the field Monday Night NO LATER THAN 7:30pm so that we can go over all of these items and get loose.

FYI: I hope that Jerseys will arrive later today. Once they are here, I’ll let everyone know.

Softball Scrimmage Canceled 3/29

The County has canceled today’s scrimmage due to the weather. Because this scrimmage is an addition to our regular season schedule, no make-up game will be scheduled.

Our next scheduled event is Practice- Saturday, 4/3, @ 10:00 at Hunton Field. Please let me know if you are not planning to attend open practice on Saturday; while it is optional this will be our only opportunity to take some batting practice before the season starts next Monday, 4/5.

Our Season schedule is now on the team website. Visit http://thecompanysoftballteam.com and click on the “Team Schedule” tab at the top. If you click on the Field Location, Google maps will help you get directions to the field.

Note that we have one game on Friday, July 2nd at Dorey Park and the Tournament is scheduled for July 24th at Dorey Park.

Our Game Tonight is still on!

Please plan to arrive at the field around 7:45pm for tonight’s game. If you are not planning on being at the game tonight – and you have not already communicated that to me today, please email me and let me know at your earliest convenience.

If the field conditions change between now and game time, and the league changes the status of our game – I will notify the team by email, text alert, and by posting the change to the website as soon as I am made aware. If you have any questions about the game status this evening, you can reach me on my cell.

Batting Practice

We currently have the Hunton Field this Saturday from 10am – 12noon and a number of you have mentioned that you would like to have some extra batting practice. Please email and let me know if you are planning to be at Batting Practice Saturday at 10am.

Game Canceled – Practice Saturday

Tonight’s game has been canceled due to this mornings weather and the current field conditions.

If you did not receive an email notification and/or a text alert regarding this schedule change, but you would like to in the future, please email me and I will make sure that you do moving forward.

Additionally, please see that additional practice times have been added to the schedule; the first being this Saturday, April 25th from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Hunton Field. If you do not plan to attend, please let me know as soon as possible.

Schedule Update – 4/11 Practice Canceled

Due to a number conflicting events this weekend and the anticipation of poor weather conditions, the practice which was scheduled for Saturday morning at 10:00am on the Hunton field has been canceled.

Please see that the schedule has been updated to reflect this. Our next game is Monday night, April 13th, at 6:30pm. We are scheduled to play Foul Balls at Byrd Middle School that evening. To avoid injury, please plan to arrive at the field in plenty of time to stretch and loosen up; at the latest, please arrive at the field ready to play by 6:15pm. If you do not plan on being at this game, please email me as soon as possible. Thanks.
